I was trying to find my way back to your XF-11 project. Do you know what button to press for English? I was going to try Google translate, but instead stubbornly button pushed until I had a childish meltdown and came back here. I hope everything is going well?

Also I really want to build the H-1 Racer some day. I guess I have to find the old Planet Model kit in 1/48, although it seems a bit underwhelming in terms of detail, and I should add that this a photo of the actual racer at the Smithsonian!

Bruce, my XF-11 is not forgotten. But she has to wait.
If you are looking for his racer I recommend the 1:72 CMR kit. It is a double kit. Both versions with different wingspan are inside as full kits.
The MiG got color today.

Looks great: so, first panel—dark grey/light grey primer followed by panel line accent, then color coat... correct? Did you add a second color coat?

I drew the landing gear too far forward, but this looks alright. I think. You tell me.

Fantastic draft Bruce and a good match. Are you doing an Industrial Design job or anything related?

The coloring procedure was following:
1. Dark gray as primer
2. Adding panel lines roughly as orientation for preshading
3. Panels highlighted with White
4. Panel lines darkened with Nato Black by Tamiya
5. First color layer is lightened and very very thin nato black
6. Additional layers of Tamiya gloss black

Yesterday I added exhaust colors and white panels. This morning Future Floor finish. After decaling it I am going to try some more gray-black panels, followed by different shades of dull and semi-dull varnish.

For the landing gear I guess I have to go with the original kit parts. Missiles will be taken of a SU-30 kit.

I bought my Hughes Racer at aviationmegastore. Maybe they still have it on stock?

Kari and Marius, thanks so much—I really wanted to understand how Marius approaches his design, and also to try to understand the stance of the new fighter. I looked at the MiG family tree as well. And Marius, thank you for being so adventurous in your design! I salute you.
