Re: Eduard BF109 E-4
Screamin' Jay Hawkins has a part in Mystery Train. If you have not seen him in this movie, you might wanna watch, although if you are not familiar with the style of filmmaking it may not be your cup o' tea.

Mystery Train was a great flick! I’m a huge Jim Jarmusch fan. Dead Man and Broken Flowers are two of my favorite movies.

That is interesting!KennyX wrote:

Jim Jarmusch made 1991 a film called "Night on Earth", 5 short stories from 5 different cities. One was actually Helsinki in Finland. A special movie. I think he get a connection then with a famous Finnish movie director, Mika Kaurismäki.
Jim has even been acting himself in two of mr Kaurismäki movies ("Helsinki - Napoli, All Night Long" and "Tigero: A Film That Was Never Made").

Getting the hang of it. I’ve been spraying layers of heavily-thinned Tamiya paint at 10 psi, building the opacity up little by little. “Slow and steady wins the race”, as they say.

I think it’s a good idea when you’re learning something to end the day’s activities on a high note. I could probably go on from here and do another section or two, but I’m opting not to. I had a really good day, for my second time shooting paint at an airplane, and I’m happy. If I hang it up now my brain will process all the stuff that I learned today, file it and store it away, and when I come back to it tomorrow, it’ll be even better and even more fun.
So cheers!

So cheers!

As a matter of fact, I have a couple of Eduards 109 G-series "under construction" since almost 5 months...
I lost my Mojo to these builds somewhere around last October.. Had big planes, hence all those unifinished builds...
but now when following and watching your interesting E-4 build, I might re-start at least one of those rather sooner than later! :-)

I would enjoy following an Emil build you did!
I painted the cowl, and the tail today. I’m happy with the paint job so far, but I’m a little unhappy about how I filled the seam on the cowl. I didn’t do a very good job, there. I used too little putty. Next time I’m going to use a bit more, and pay more attention when sanding. It felt flat when I ran my finger over it. I’m wondering if the putty shrank a little bit? Anyway- rookie mistake. I’ll try not to make that mistake again.
