Do 335A-12 Trainer, HK Models

Post by James H »

Hi all,

This is now the third Do 335 I've built from HKM. HKM sent me a test shot of the forthcoming trainer version that they'll release sometime in second half of this year (after the forthcoming B-6 night fighter version), and thought I'd post a couple of images here, followed by some in-progress shots as soon as I finish my ICM Polikarpov I-16.

Just test fitting this at the moment...

Still just playing around with dry fit at the moment due to some work I'm doing on an ICM 1/32 I-16, but I still couldn't resist.

Such a cool airplane. The lines really do it for me.

Note the wing spar boxes in the wing, still seen because I haven't attached the leading edge sections.

I don´t think the trainer version to be "ugly". Again a monster of an airplane (and kit!).

After building 1/48 Fw 190 kits, the 1/32 Do 335 appears gigantic. Extremely imposing.
