Nice to travel and see the world! The G-2 is looking very similar to my G-6... I can see the same parts!

John,

Eduard does these beautifully, don’t they?

Not much to update on mine. Just fills and sanding, fills and sanding, between work and family life. I’ll have that finished up here soon. Then I’ll be attaching the canopy, masking it, and priming it.

Yes, I like what Eduard does. Especially in giving the modeler so many choices in one kit. Kind of the opposite of other manufacturers who milk each version of an aircraft as a separate kit. With the G-6 kit, you can pretty much build any of the many variations of the G-6 as well a G-14. Looking forward to your next update Kenny!

I spent my free time yesterday evening gently sanding down the fills in the leading wing edges, as well as on the seams on the cowl. There was an ever so slight step there which needed addressed, and it’s now been taken care of:

There was also a small hole here. This occurred when I clipped the fuselage from the sprue. Took a chunk right out of there:

No big deal.

Okay! Next we move on to getting the canopy masked and installed, and then painting can get going!

Oh, and before I forget, this one’s for my pal Bruce! A day late and a dollar short as I often am, I’ve literally just discovered Lou Reed. Man, what great music! Here you go:

Lou Reed. Nice track for a sanding session, KennyX.

What are you using for sanding?

Indeed you both need those cutters. Saves time on clean up and in this case a repair. Looks like Eduard placed a sprue join in a tough location.

Thank you, gentlemen!

For sanding I use a relatively fine grit Testor’s sandpaper. The tan one. I found that back when I was priming with Tamiya gray surface primer in a rattlecan, it got covered better that way, and would be nice and smooth after. I’m hoping that holds true with the Mr. Surfacer 1500 (which Inlove and swear-by).
