It's a big step to add the wings, sometimes almost "ceremonial".. Being sort of a tube it really becomes an airplane!

Looks fantastic Bruce. I like the paneling effect on the wing surfaces. But... are the wings actually glued on? I thought you were still dry-fitting? It don't count until the glue comes out... just sayin!

I was reading about your aftermarket on your Red 1, John! Wowee! Also, yes, this is all just taped, and held together with friction at this point. I started steaming the wing components to add back a bit of the dihedral...

You are right; smoke and mirrors and Tamiya Tape, my friend. I still have to come up with a way to mount those flaps.

Suggestion on the flaps- bevel the inner surfaces on the wings where the flaps connect... then add a matching size half round strip onto the face of the flaps that mates with the wing, leaving a slight step so that it accounts for the wing skin thicknes on the upper and lower surfaces. This should give you a good glue mating surface for the flaps...

Yes, you could always find an AM product and do whatever surgery is needed to make it fit. I was just thinking of using what’s on hand like lengths of sprue...

Do you mean good old fashioned non aftermarket modeling techniques... sprue sounds good, bud. I have been collecting plastic straws and I also thought I could cut a brass rod and JB Weld it there to solve the situation....
