I don’t care who the mfg. of that kit is, you’re doing a great job on it and it’s gonna be awesome!

Thanks so much, KennyX! Sincerely. For some reason I am not entirely certain about I decided to build the radio and battery platforms to scale from little sliced sections of Evergreen plastic card. Everything fits perfectly.... and wait for it... nothing will be seen except a sliver of an edge supporting the radio and battery....

That’s starting to look real sharp in there.

Thanks so much, Carlos. I am juggling what will be seen and improving the realism of the area as much as possible... as best I can. I still have not nailed the fuel gauge yet; it has a “periscope” appearance, I think. I am focusing on any actual war reportage as well as construction docs from North American Aviation for these details. Wiring comes next, which is why I am curious about using wire to create the effects.

I strip out wire from various electronics in differing sizes when they are headed for the garbage. Things like headphones provide thinner gauges, and other items have larger gauges that I use. Have a look at what I did on my B-26 build

These are all before and after photos of the unpainted and painted wiring

Carlos,
Thanks for posting the photos! Is that the Monongram 1/48 Marauder? Just... wow. Great detailing work on a classic kit! Is there a build thread here?
