As a side topic, interesting to see old texts from Jim D and Manny... 3.5 years ago... not actually in "real life" that long, but on this forum it feels like an eternity... :hmm:

For some reason all Jim's old posts are totally deleted, only trace that are left are those that have been quoted...

Beautiful Stuka! That scheme always takes me back to my childhood when it adorned the Revell 1/32 kit box...

Yes! The box art on those old Revell kits was fantastic!

Is there a kit out there like that art? That box art is magnificent! I have to find out more about the artists who painted the box art for Revell... must be more than one and someone has to have researched this...

Well that is the old Revell 1/32 Ju-87B, a mid to late 60’s vintage kit if I’m not mistaken. Revell box art has been researched and had some articles published regarding the artists. As well as been discussed in a book on Revell kits (pre merger), from when Revell was based here out of Venice, CA. They probably had some of the best box art until the mid 70’s when companies started switching to photos of the built kits on the box tops. Nowhere near as fun...

The man was a master... I just googled him and saw all that artwork... I built so many of those as a kid... great memories.

This site might interest you in particular Bruce....

There are several articles on Mr Leynnwood in there, but I’m kinda partial to this one....
