Wow! Absolutely and thank you, Carlos. I was just thinking I wanted to study his work more!

Certainly a great plug for the “Mad Men” era....

I also love Revell box art. On a related note, my friend Dave O'Barr found some Italeri artwork online that was used for all the ESCI 1/72 scale armor boxes. Later on, he ran into the actual artist who painted them at an IPMS Nationals (2007-Anaheim). He showed them to him and the artist was astounded at the find.
Personally, though, I've never done a Stuka with that artwork on it. I'm sure there's a 1/72 scale version of it somewhere but so far I've never had one. It;s not a priority for me now; I have several other models that are must-get first.
Nice links guys! Gonna read more later.

We are modelers - the same in spirit, in hunger to insanely buy newly released kits, hustlers in hiding our stash from our better halves and experts in using garbage as replacements for after-market parts.

You fellas may want to check out Akira Watababe’s work—incredible painter for Tamiya still going strong today.

His technique gives the painting subject a photo like quality in the life like detail.
