Yes the previous host for SPAM was Pro Boards. The AMPS Chapter to which I belong has our club site hosted there now, in addition to a Facebook page.

Oh I keep reading reports here and there of new kits to be released, armor and otherwise... :lashed:

I have plenty of Panzer of most every type, and such... but that Patriot... the Duck Hunters are finally getting their due in styrene and after decades of neglect. Lots of old ADA (air defense artillery) from old models, but then from the late 70’s until this century, until 2000 or so, only a handful. Now, that is finally starting to be addressed again. At least in 1/35.

Soooo.... back to work on this big cat.

Today was a nice airbrush session with Tamiya Gray Liquid Surface Primer. Everything except the tracks...

And some close ups of the areas that I used other mediums and my reason for priming...

Carlos—Lookin’ sharp! Fantastic detail work with all of the upgrade choices! And the kit comes to life with liquid gray primer which I had to look up... the way the primer grabs the edges makes your work look so crisp! To misquote the Dude from The Big Lebowski: “That primer really tied the tank altogether.” Seriously, wow.

:shoutout:

... and seriously that looks so good. So good. Sharp and clean.

Thank you Bruce! Your paraphrasing of the Dude is right on target. The primer does tie everything together (like the right rug). This result has really been a good case for the use of primer. It sure does make the details look better here.

Second that! Now the cat looks immaculate! Some few gaps as shown in your pictures, but indeed a fine example why priming kits is such an advantage.

At the front and rear of the upper to lower hull joints? That is just the motorizing join. I’m going to glue those areas after I get some paint and the tracks on.
