1/48 Hobbycraft DH.100 Vampire F.1
Re: 1/48 Hobbycraft DH.100 Vampire F.1
I do the same thing. I like running, too. Donea half marathon, can run a 10K whenever, even after waking up with a hangover... But cycling. Man... can’t beat that peace. It always centers me. Always.

Hey I have a bike too... a fabulously old Ciocc Designer 84, Brooks saddle, with paint completely worn off the steel and nice rusty vintage look, but finding time for riding is tough, so it is more or less a prop but a well maintained prop. I am glad you took the time, Carlos... and this was just one part of the build time: the Leopard looks so good!!!!

And thank you... I really want to get this one wrapped up soon.

I feel the same way; maybe this is a syndrome of multiple projects? Whatever! I’m excited to see this Vampire and the Leopard ready for service!!

God you guys are killing me - with your fitness! I've been on a diet for ages trying to loose a couple of Stone - I'd give anything to get back down to 12. Perhaps I need a bike
Good to see some progress Stik.

Thanks Stuart.
As far as losing weight goes, if you loved to ride a bike as a kid, that is the way to go. I lost 60 pounds that way between November 2013 and December 2014. A few have crept back, mostly due to my slacking off a bit last autumn and winter, but they are dropping again. It’s low impact on the joints. All you have to worry about is not getting run over while on the road...

lol - I can see where that would put a crimp on your day!
Yeah I need to do something - dieting alone just doesn't get it off.

No, I was the same way. Dieting alone will not drop weight. At least not for me. I had to eat less and do more physical stuff.

Same here. Running half marathons. Cycling. Gracie Jiu Jitsu, and barbell training. Those things, and a solid diet, and my weight is under control, BP is rock solid, and most importantly- I’m a happy guy.
The human body was built to be active. Planet Earth was not settled from the couch.
That said, you do need rest also. And I can’t think of a better way to rest than by sitting down at my desk, drinking a few cold ones, and working on a model.
