Bruce,

And I mean this with the utmost sincerity- seeing the way you approach not only your Builds but how you display them, that had a major influence on me. Not just photographing and documenting them -which is HUGE- but also the approach, has helped me so much. I’m test-fitting even more, taking the time to contemplate what’ll happen next whilst I test-fit... it’s helped me so much. My Builds will be better because of what you do. And I appreciate it. You make whatever mockups and sketches you need, my man, because the end result will be epic, and novices like me will leanr from watching you. Man, th end result is going to be so nice. But the updates along the way- these are gold.

Thank you, my friend. Sincerely. I really enjoyed seeing this.

Kenny—

I was responding to your Corsair thread heading into a meeting; and I saw this message after I posted, so my timing is slightly off (apologies). Thank you so much for your words, I am bowled over by them but also very grateful that you took the time to write; and I am always grateful for how you stay in touch. I was thinking about “integrity,” and how that is what really excites me when I see work being made and I don’t care what kind of work it is or what the subject is, but I feel we must always approach what we do with that; and go forward from that point.

I believe in your work, Kenny. I know you are doing foundational work to level yourself up in ways that inspire me, so thank you for being here.

I realize at 53 pages this is a long road but it is a worthy one!

Stuart—

I believe in your work as well and am pleased as punch to see you hone in on Tiffys with both a Monogram and Eduard kits!

And to Carlos, Duke, Kari, Torben, Thomas, Scruffy, Medic, and Mustang Joe—thank you for SPA Modeler and all you bring to the forum—your projects and personalities are greatly admired!!!

Huzzah!

Bruce, it is very enlightening to see how you go from concept sketch, to your iterations of each stage of execution.

Thanks so much, Carlos. Those photos from the KSC. The feeling! So good.

I had to accelerate plans to put this model on a base unit because the extraordinary builder, painter and set designer I know is going to build this base and it will be most likely done in the next few days.

I had to decide quickly—and all I could think of was the old bases from Famous Fighters and the AMT Enterprise kit at first—but designing in real wood is going to create an organic feel.

I will keep you posted!

Well, those old base designs you used as guidance are practical and effective. As well as having a certain minimalist appeal as well.
