Had a training camp with one of their companies back in '99. Sigh...

Yes, they presented us each with the Edelweiss shoulder patch and cap badge at the end of our exchange program.... once upon a time...

A little more progress on my Leo. I looked at some reference photos and saw that the A4 has a ceramic insulator at the antenna base. I found an appropriate part in my spares bin, and then with some steel wire and brass tubing, I made up the antenna.

Most days like today when I see how you create these details and how good the project looks I have to admit this I truthfully just want to box and send the M41A3 to you. I mean this as high praise, Carlos. You just build beautifully with that touch of realism that comes from knowing how to translate experiences into reality. Ditto that radio you added to the UN vehicle. That radio was some kind of beautiful object—it looked like it worked. Thank you so much.

Bruce, please don’t even think about doing that. That M41 is all yours. Thank you for the compliment on the radio, but it was really quite simple of dressing up some things from my spares bin.
I’m just tooling along here doing small bits of progress. Slow and steady, and all that. We each have our different approach to this Hobby, and both work.

Joe, the oddball stuff comes in handy exactly when you need it... often years after it wound up in the spares bin, “just in case”....
