Thankee kindly, Torben! I started watching “Godless.” Makes me miss the Eastwood and Siegel combination with westerns.

But—not gonna blow sunshine anywhere (you’re too far away) but WOW congratulations on this armor build.

Your work is just beautiful. Elegant. Exquisite. All the E’s. Excellent. Etcetera. Seriously this makes me want to add Mr Levelling Thinner to Mr Finishing Surfacer and leave all of my models in primer. So good.

So where we at on the P-51D Bruce? Did you decide on the blues? Is the cockpit complete?

There's a point in the book "All the President's Men" on Sundays where the news reporters called into work will spend the majority of the day reading the weekend sections because Sunday is a typically a slow day. I feel like I have been in 'Sunday Washington Post mode" with this kit for a week. At first I thought it was due to waiting for supplies. I am waiting for supplies. There has been a great deal of work activity, long days, and that has cut into what time I have to work on this project.

I took apart the wings, removed the tape from the majority of sections. I took a good look at the cockpit with refreshed eyes, John, and I like what I see. Normally I see only what is wrong. In this case, using Barracuda resin details was the right approach. I figure I am "almost there" with the fitting of the cockpit. I need to situate the IP so that this fits to the base of the new cockpit floor. I am using sections of the old cockpit flooring to do this.

After that I need to fabricate the seat bottom swing down brackets... so to put this simply: I still have a lot to do with this cockpit.

The blue will be one or the other. I need to get some air brush practice in—using Mr Leveling Thinner is interesting, but I need to find the spot where the low psi and the right amount of mixture primer to thinner and paint to thinner (two different mixes) work best.

Well as long as you’re not having a “Tora! Tora! Tora!” Sunday, you’ll be fine...
