And that’s another reason why I didn’t make the nubs for the ignition ring. They’d look absurdly huge with that wire sticking out. Gonna try small beads of PVA glue to simulate those, once it’s set up.

Also- I’m not using the PE harness on the Hellcat. It mounts behind the ring. I don’t like that. If I don’t end up using this method on this Corsair, I’m definitely using it on my Hellcat.

I bent each wire into a “V”. Then bent a small portion of the point into a 90 degree angle. Then applied a small drop of Zap onto the bent area, and gently put it into place. The single wires were more difficult but the idea is the same, just less contact surface.

Okay. Step 1 is done. Next to trim and then connect them up.

(Yeah. I should know myself enough by now to know that “I’ll give it a day and try again tomorrow” really means that I’ll get after it again after the babies go to bed. Kind of like how “I’ll just drink one beer” really means I’ll have four or five. Or six.)

A few thoughts:

1. Adding a wiring harness is definitely worth the effort.

2. #1 being said, if you’ve already made up your mind not to add one, don’t change your mind and the. Try and add one after the engine is finished because it’s a pain in the ass.

3. Add your wiring harness carefully during the building of the engine stage, and you’ll be okay.

So there we go! Now onto those tiny fills I’ve been putting off doing.

While I was living in Sweden, for x-amount of years ago (soon close to 15 years ago), I also used snus, though in portion bags... Those were the days...

And ah, looking good, the engine also! :-)

Very nice, Kenny! Congrats on pushing through the initial difficulties and getting the wiring done! It looks great and is always worth pointing out when someone asks, "So... what kind of detail did you add on this one?"

I used the Eduard PE wiring harness on my F6F build. Yes, it is mounted behind the ring but it looks ok when viewed from the front.

That’s General portion snus. I used to use Grovsnus Lös, but my wife prefers that I don’t use loose snus. She actually prefers when I use the General Wontergreen as opposed to Original or White, but I can’t get that here all the time.
