Money! Actually... WEALTH. Yes! Also, good aesthetics, too. I think a version is entirely possible on a beer budget... and frankly beer budgets make our world go around. I think I first heard “champagne” versus “beer” budgets on a film set.

Yes, champagne dreams on a light beer budget...

Very similar to tiger ego and parakeet ass......

ummm ... buy a vowel?[/quote]Man................you guys crack me up. :giggles:

I didn't like the hole that was cut in the hood. I'm not much of a fan of that kind of stuff because most of the time it just looks cheap and half done. There are those cars that do look cool with a hole in the hood and a big tunnel ram dual quad setup coming out of the hood but this aint that car.

I cut some black Evergreen styrene to match the hole, glued it into place with Tamiya cement, filled in the cracks and low spots with super glue and sanded everything flush nice and purdy.

Hemi is still coming along as well:

an "in chassis" shot with the engine wire harness installed:

It's gonna take up the whole engine bay opening when it's all said and done. Still gotta work on the stance some. :hmm:

Joe, that Hemi looks SWEET!!!! :lashed:
For clarification, the “tiger ego/parakeet ass” phrase is something that used to be said a lot in my line of work when some fool bit off more than they could chew. Usually in a fight or driving that involves a serious injury of fatality. Often pretty bloody. A case of their tiger ego being overcome by their parakeet ass. Gallows humor.

LOL! Look at the glare on the hood as the reflection is also off of the black plastic styrene piece. The black piece where the hole was IS the filler.

More outstanding work Joe! Nice job on that hood piece, but that Hemi looks stunning! You fire it up yet? LOL! That reminds me of a time a couple days back: I was talking with my friend about my little 4-banger Nissan pickup; describing it like "A four-banger that thinks it's a V-8 Hemi"!
