I saw this kit was on sale at Sprue Brothers so I am thinking I will pick it up before all things Revell become more expensive or harder to get... should I? I think you are happy with the kit itself, correct?

Absolutely Bruce, that kit is really a pearl. The fit in general is excellent, beautiful detailing, in my opinion better quality than the Spitfire.

So yes, go for it!
