"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."
Thanks so much, Carlos! Your words mean a lot; and thank you for your support. I will have an updated theory on the tires soon. I was on the phone with a model car resin master this afternoon hammering out details.
One reason I am finessing outer body panels before building anything is step one under "Before Assembling" in the instructions. Yes. The instructions. I read them. I did not understand some of the instructions, but I did in fact read through these multiple times.
BEFORE ASSEMBLING
”Paint Your Model Before Assembly and Touch Up On Completion.”
These are the paper forms that I am going to make from thin Evergreen card... I was kinda thinking to make the compound curve "permanent" by rolling the plastic around a circular form. The other issue will be to paint the interior first, which would be black; I will have to mask this because the surrounding areas are white and I don't want issues with seepage/color bloom.
The good news is there is a vertical brace inside each scoop! This has become my "Go To Photo" for all questions regarding this race car.
I moved this post here from the Aftermarket parts directory so we could kick this subject around a little further:
Have you ever built any resin kits (complete cars, transmits, engines, etc) from HRM? I was dreaming about his Cobra Daytona. I believe all of his kits are available as a la carte items through online vendors.
