No. But he brought awareness of it to a generation of young impressionable model builders when Monogram hired him to dioramas with their kits and included these flyers in the boxes. Sheperd Paine...   Before all the modelin gurus of the YouTube and internet age, before Verlinden, in the 70’s there was Shep

Like ILM of that age, he was the inspiration to many...

With Evergreen, a bin full of assorted odds and end spare parts, and your imagination, anything was possible to build...

Anytime my friend.

We are spoiled nowadays in this hobby. Especially now with the advent of 3-D printing. Not mention so many kit choices available. We’ve never had it so good.

Carlos!

Thank you so much! As you know, I was inspired by your posts and assembled the little flared spoiler for this project. I am not a hundred percent happy but ya know, being inspired and being a part of a community goes a long way. I need to get over whatever the perfection seeking genome is within me.

Bruce, perfection only comes after repeated attempts that result in varying degrees of failing. If you don’t try, you’ll never reach it. Make the errors, and learn from them.

I just demolished a slice of thick cut Sicilian pizza with pepperoni! In other words, I took out my frustration on food.

Hopefully with some beer... pizza and beer often helps!
