Bad weather again this morning, but tomorrow will be much better. Primer is going down on my morning break.

Here we go! Got the big stuff primed this morning. What a relief that is.

I thought I’d give spines a try for masking the cockpit and gear bays. That worked out pretty well, none of the hard work I’ve already done got ruined, although there are some small areas which are missing primer as you can see around the cockpit area. It’s the puffiness of the spone’s fault. And I’m not too worried about it to tell you the truth. It’s easily fixed. So, I suppose painting can commence once this Mr. Surfacer has had a chance to dry and set.

And I’ve decided to do multi-later chipping, too. I’ve had so much fun just experimenting, with this build. So why not keep riding that bullet all the way out to the end?

I fixed-up the primer around the gear bays and alsonon the cockpi (not pictured, obviously).

I’ll get some bare metal on her tomorrow, if time and work abides.

I’m happy to have primer on finally. Feels good. And I’m excited to get the painting started.

Looking good! Are you gonna polish her skin before you hit the metal coat?

I’ve actually never polished the primer before. I could see how that would facilitate a nice, smooth-looking metal surface.

For this project though, I don’t think so. As very little of the metal will actually be showing. These’ll be tiny chips. Very small.
