Bruce, each step of that type which we take helps us learn for the next one. If we decide to open something up, after we have added some change, and then need to go back and fix the added change, a lesson is learned. Next time, approach a similar challenge in a different manner. This project will make your next project better.

Thanks, gents—looks like I sorta had the right idea (top illustration, June 7) which I changed while building this; now the cut outs are more correct (bottom illustration, yesterday). I was not planning to extend the inner section farther because of the radiator and front framing—

I had a Stout in your honor at my favorite pub, The Daily Pint in Santa Monica, California. Now I am deciding what to do with finding tires for this project.

Zoukei-Mura “GK” Black Surfacer

The Z-M “GK” (Garage Kit) Surfacer takes a long time to de-gas, though.

Looks like all that hard work is starting to pay off now!

ZM makes paints and primers?

Z-M makes a primer series, different colors including flesh, aimed at Mecha. I started using the black version on Barracuda Resin details. It does go on heavier unless you thin it. As far as colors, Volks and Sprue Brothers both market “Gaia Notes,” which in my humble opinion, has even more pigmentation than Mr Color. If you need a durable and deep finish, that is one heckuva paint. Truly. It’s not made by Z-M, but they do market this through Volks. I am not sure what Z-M prefers, as far as I know, I will check. I thought they marketed some Vallejo Air colors.

Yup.

I’ll have to see if Brookhurst carries the stuff.
