Installing the intake housing with PE gave me fits trying to line it up to the fuselage. :headbang: Had to carefully separate the PE off the intake housing piece and glue it to the fuselage opening. In order for it to fit properly to the fuselage, I had to do minor surgery to the PE. I'm happy with the results.

More progress!

Married the wings to the fuselage. Filled in the gaps and wet sanded. I'm very happy with the outcome.

Intake piece glued on and puttied to shape later.

You can see the PE grill inside the intake. I'm happy with how it looks.

Thank God Valom provided a spare vacu-form canopy. I wasn't happy with how the first one was trimmed off. The test fit didn't fit right. This one looks 100% better. Dry fitting it to the kit and the way it sits was much better. Perfect!!

I have decided not to arm the Su-6 with bombs. I didn't realize the bomb and PE straps that is be wrapped around it. The PE bomb racks are fiddly and really tiny. Screw it. I like the looks of the Su-6 without them. :lashed:

I spent an hour masking the greenhouse canopy - all 14 windows. :wow:

This is how the canopy sits prior to gluing her down. Looks good to me....

It does look very similar to the IL-2 Sturmovick. If you go back to the box cover, the other aircraft in the background flying along side him is a later version of the Su-2. This is is the early version of the Su-2.
Speaking of IL-2 Sturmovick, Tamiya has the 1/48 scale I’ve been wanting but the price is a bit on the high side. Of course that’s expected from Tamiya. :bored:

Hoping to start painting this baby this afternoon.
