Looking great, the process also goes very quickly!

How long did that masking of the canopy take? A couple of hours ?
That is one of those tasks I just don't really "enjoy" to do... at all ....

Looking forward to the painting part !

Masking took me about an hour. At times I had to redo a couple windows over. It was a challenge to mask a vacu-form canopy due to the lack of raised details. At least I was determined & motivated to get it done.

Greenhouse canopy installed and weighted down while it dries

A dilemma... the rear MD has to be installed before gluing the canopy. I know there are minor gaps that needs filling in in the rear portion and a couple spots around the canopy. No biggie. Masking is the rear gunner window is the biggest issue here. It's suppose to be a half window for the gunner. How to mask is beyond me especially with the MG sticking out.

I don't have liquid mask on hand but thought of using it, This means I have to order it and the build is delayed. Not sure if I really want to go that route of ordering the product. The only other solution is use blue painter tape which is a bit more stickier than the yellow Frog painters tape. We'll see....

I forgot to mention one other thing. I decided not to install the gun sight since the directions were pretty vague of the placement in front of the cockpit. Plus, it's a bit too fiddly, has a wide arc, and a headache to get it to fit right inside the cockpit once the canopy is installed. Screw it... I'll save it for another kit. :bag:

Try using lots of thin strips of tape to mask the gunners portion. You’ll get more flexibility on the compound curves and around the opening.

Patchwork finished on canopy area - only in two spots. I'm happy. :dancing:

Front left side done

Rear portion. It appeared the opening was a bit too large. :bored:

Minor progress...

I took Stik's advice and I have to say it worked better than I thought. With a little patience, I was able to do what I wanted to achieve. Thanks Stik.
