I remember watching a documentary on Sam Fuller. He was being interviewed by Quentin Tarentino. QT talked about how he was affected by Mark Hamill—Luke Skywalker—staring at the remains in a crematorium. I still need to watch the movie.

My favorite Sam Fuller films are "Crimson Kimono" and "Forty Guns."

This was a tough morning. I needed to find ways to sand the stand's rough areas and remove the bonding glue from the joins as much as possible, then work out how to support the aircraft inside the wing with the caveat emperor being the amount of depth before the cockpit floor begins being one issue. I designed a rectangular tile of the same walnut as the base to fit tightly inside the wing then punched holes through the exterior of the wing straight up, then at an angle in the area between the wheel wells. I also had to take down a small amount of a central rib to make the connection less topsy-turvy.

That is a very nice stand Bruce! It is also cool that you built that as well as the model. I think it adds so much to have a nice presentation of the finished build. Especially when the builder takes the time and effort to come up with an idea and then execute it with the same degree of craftmanship evidenced in the piece it is supporting.
