Thank you so much for your reply, Kent; your work and build narratives are fantastic inspirations for me. I am really grateful for your encouragement, sincerely. Tonight, I test fitted the fenders:






The fenders are slot-fitted; so, I needed to open up the slots that were partly filled by the putty process.

It’s shaping up nicely so far. You cleaned up those seams and gaps quite well!

Carlos, thank you most sincerely—your work has always been inspiration for me to do better. For awhile, I thought I was going to be beaten by the seams. I just... I don't see the seams as being "gapped" at all—otherwise shells would be penetrating the interior quite easily and that makes no sense. I found a great finished build project of the same kit done eight years ago (can you believe this kit is 18 years old?) and could clearly see the gaps. I understand that the armored plate sections overlap each other, but the sections are tightly sealed.

The fenders fit really well, though.

The last major external component will be the real wall—but I think I may take a break and learn how to assemble tracks.

Hi Kari and Carlos!

I have learned much from you both, and working with armor as a project reveals new techniques and ideas. I am relieved the form is holding together. Warm days and cool nights (especially cool nights) wreak havoc on CA joins. I ordered Testors liquid cement to try this out, and cement as well as a select group of Model Master Enamel paints are being sent here. I will try these colors out on a test strip of styrene first, but I am really feeling good and I am having fun! Thanks for those hand claps, Stik!

PS. Kahn is really Obi-Wan in your case. Just sayin. RIP Stan Lee. Hope Kirby buys the first round up in heaven, sir. Excelsior!
