I wouldn’t call it unnecessary, I like knowing this kind of stuff about my friends. Helps me understand where you’re coming from. And I always enjoy your input.
Hehe and yeah, she really is. And she’s sassy, too!
As to Axis subjects, it’s always interesting to know where somebody is coming from when they pick what they build. My Messerschmitt obsession went into overdrive when I started reading about Adolf Galland. Then it became “Build Galland’s Emil’s!” Which was cool because it became as much about the man as the airplane. Which is cool.
Still not sure why I lost steam on that Stuka I was building. Except to say that the engine was so great and the cockpit was so... meh. It couldn’t hold my attention, that.

In terms of design my favorite Messerschmitt is the Me-262, because—jets, man—next best thing to rockets in my world. Amongst Luftwaffe fighters, the Fw 190 Anton and Dora are my favorites. I really, really dig the design of the Ta 152—I feel this is the closest a pilot can be to being part of the plane itself... and the way Kurt Tank stretched the Anton like it I was made of taffy instead of metal to become the Ta 152H is... bad ass. “You want a high altitude fighter? okay, then...” (stretch, stretch stretch) “Here’s your high altitude fighter!”

Yeah buddy!
Meanwhile, here’s this evening’s work:

It felt good to spray that grey again. Oh man. Wash, tomorrow. Then clear. Then seal her up.

Looking real good there Kenny!

Thank you, Carlos!
I’m shooting for having this bad boy’s fuselage joined today/tomorrow. We’ll see. It’ll be a busy one at work but hopefully I won’t have to work through lunch.

It's good to have a stash of kits so that you always have SOMETHING to work on. Glad to see your momentum intact with this build. Interior looks great!

Thank you, John!
Cockpit has been washed and dry brushed, IP is done, and I’m happy with the result of my lunch break efforts, today!

I really, really enjoy this kit. It’s well-engineered in terms of fit and stuff, there aren’t a whole lot of pieces, it goes together quickly, and the level of detail on the outside is good! True, the level of detail in the cockpit isn’t where the Eduard kit is, but it looks really nice with just some painting and washes, and frankly, I kind of prefer it. And I think for what it is, thisnlevel of detail is great:

Very happy with this.

I really like what you've done in the cockpit, Kenny. From the modulation of the interior base color to the detail painting highlighted with washes, you've made the molded details look very three dimensional. Maybe not as detailed as a photoetch set but I think it has more impact. Well done!
