I'm always have small parts eaten by the carpet monster. And I have the flat office type of carpet in my garage workspace. I've spent lots of times on all fours, shining a desk lamp onto the floor looking for those tiny missing parts.

I have hardwood floors in my work area and I still lose them somehow. Glad to know I’m in good company insofar as crawling around on all fours looking for small parts is concerned.

Yeah, I always have a time looking for dropped parts; even at Hobby Day. Usually at Hobby Day, every other modeler also building stops and helps look for the missing parts. At home, sometimes my cats help me by sniffing around where the part drops, allowing me to find it easily. Still, the gun barrels were never unpacked yet so I don't have to go searching for them on the floor. I just need to find the package on the desk. Hopefully soon.

Kenny, the idea on the wet paint fix was an unexpected surprise. When the wing dropped and picked up all that dust and debris, I was so disgusted I just hung it back up and left it alone. Once it dried (three days later when I finally got over the frustration!) I pulled it down with the intent to strip it like you would expect. Instead, I just brushed at the dust and debris with my finger and everything came off. New lesson learned.

Bruce, I'll keep you posted on the guns. I don't want you to have to buy a second set, but when I think of my luck lately, I'm thinking it might be a good idea since; even if I find them, one gun will possibly disappear anyway despite my best efforts. Don't get them though unless I really need them.

Yeah, I take the hint Bruce. Yesterday I found the engine which had fallen out of the box and got slightly broken, but it's an easy fix. I didn't even know it had fallen out. I'll get that fixed and then look back and remind myself what decal scheme you wanted done. I'll be exceptionally busy this week with model-related events so I won't get anything done this weekend. I'll be at IPMS on Friday night (tonight); I'll be at Spruefest entering some models there tomorrow, and then selling models at Brewer Brothers on Sunday. Next week I'll be building an overhead storage area in my storage unit so I can store some things in the space above where my truck will park. Then I'll be moving a bunch of things in there. Maybe by the end of the week I'll be able to hop back on this. My apologies for taking so long.

I meant no offense, Brother Mark. Truly. There is no pressure. I was looking at 1:72 kits in case you need replacements. Then I started thinking about building one. There is absolutely no pressure on this. Think of it as a tap, or a nudge. Be well and good luck with everything!

Thanks Bruce, I wasn't offended. I am feeling my own pressure to get this done. I also need to find those metal gun barrels too. They are still in the packaging hiding somewhere on my workbench.

I'l keep you posted my friend. Perhaps if you aren't busy tomorrow you can stop into Brookhurst and see Spruefest. Then we can meet and I can show you some of my work in person. It would be so fun!

Mark, I almost made Hobby Day this month. My schedule probably mirrors yours—well, I hope it doesn’t mirror yours at all actually. I am more “We Never Close,” which is great if the jobs are interesting... and pay well. Otherwise, not so much. Just let me know about gun barrels. I was also gonna just order another kit if this one is jinxed or bollocksed. I started a 1/72 Frog kit recently. It is a lot of fun in 1/72... in 1972, haha! Me likey.

Thanks Bruce, that would have been so cool if you had come to Hobby Day. You know I hate to say ti but you might have to order new guns and kit. I even looked for one in Brookhurst since I think the canopy may be gone too, along with some other parts. I am so sorry this has become such a boondoggle. I just cannot catch a friggin' break!
