Badger Special offer

Post by KSaarni »

Badger Air-brush Co. had last year this special offer for their airbrushes.
55 USD for a Badger airbrush.

This year again, can find this only on their Facebook page:

I am intrigued to order this year, but not sure which model would be most suitable.
Despite European taxes and custom fees, it would still make sense to make an order... :hmm:

That is a fine offer! :hmm:

Thanks for the heads up Kari! I just entered! So... which Badger airbrush would be good for scale modeling?

:P1:

Also ”struggling” with this question, which to select... :hmm:

Also, cannot be a cheap one, as postage + taxes and finally the customs will make sure the final price delivered home will be around 100 USD..
and cheaper Badgers I can find here under 100 USD..

Sotar 20/20 apparantely is for very very detailed airbrushing... but if a more ”general” purpose...

I've already got a reply!

I have three airbrushes already but can't resist a good deal. I was eyeing the Sotar myself. Like you mentioned, it seems to be more of a detail brush and not an all-arounder. Which is ok in my situation because I have a good all-around brush (Iwata HP C Plus with 0.3mm tip).

Thank you so much for posting this, Kari! I have no ideas here about kind or type, though.

I think I'm going with the SOTAR 20/20. My Iwata is great for MOST things but I could use a finer brush in some situations.

Your welcome John!

I have not yet received any confirmation mails, but I saw on their web-page that I can make the order there:

http://www.badgerairbrush.com/Special_Offers_Int.asp

I think I will choose the "Krome", even if the Sotar 20/20 would be pretty awesome for very detailed painting..

To get this offer to Belgium, the cost including postage is USD 86. Here I need to pay a duty fee of USD 17,1 and then 21% taxes, not only for the Krom and postage costs, but also for the duty fee, which is in total USD 21,1. So, the total price "all-in" will be USD 124,2 or 109 €.
I bought locally or via some web-shop, the price would be roughly USD 185 / 162 €. So yes, I will save about 60 $ / 50 €, worth absolutely...

Will still check if I will add some add-on items....

Yes, the Krome is the other one that I would consider.
