Re: The Duke's First Completed Model of 2019
Wow, I am overwhelmed at the number of incredible and motivating comments here! Than you all for such gracious compliments!
Joe, thanks! I'm glad I can be a small inspiration to such a master as yourself. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you get done. I also have a few more Shelf Queens to finish up. I hope this completion motivates me to get them done too.
Bruce, thanks! You must show up and one of those contests at least so you can see this in person!
Carlos, I hope something happens with this, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Still, it will be a thrill to show it off at some contests. If all goes well, she'll make her debut at Spruefest in Brookhurst.
Borg, you are right. That's what makes building these types of aircraft so fun. Thanks again for the compliment.
Johnny, thanks! She is indeed a big beastie!
Cherrylock, thanks! Yeah, the metal finish did fight me a few times. Amazingly enough, this is Tamiya's Bare Metal Silver in the rattlecan.
To all you other guys, thanks again! Your compliments mean so much to me and keep me really motivated to keep going. In fact, of the four Forums I posted this in; I got the most comments and compliments from you guys on here. You are all the best!

Loves me some C-54 action. One of my favorites.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Stuart! It did turn out very much like I wanted it to.
Thanks Lyle! This one is the C-118. The C-54 will come later....
Thanks Carlos! I'm thinking possibly a Third again. Unless Barry Webb shows up....
