
The first coat was 5:1 thinner to paint RLM02.
The second coat was 5:1 thinner to paint Olive Drab and German Gray 1:1.
Only three passes with each color instead of six like in my test.
Tip: baby wipes help get the salt off there pretty well.
There is some fogging but from what I understand, that is to be expected. I still have some salt to clean off from the nooks and crannies, and I’ll be using my airbrush @ 15 PSI to blow any stray grains of salt out of there before I clear coat the work.
I’m happy with this, I think for my first go at Salt Fading on an actual model, it went very well! It just has this nice sheen on top. Kind of khaki brown, kind of gray is green, which I feel totally works for it. It isn’t overdone at all.
