I would probably try going for the chrome myself. I have a Sotar 20/20 and yes; it is a magnificent brush for close-in detail work. If anyone cares to go through last year's Manufacturing Thread, there's a few places where I described .. with pics, using a Sotar for some of the detailed airbrushing I did last year. You Master who ordered this are going to love it; and overwhelm me even more with your skills using this new tool.

Thanks for the references, Duke! I saw some of the work that you did with the Sotar on the thread that you referenced. Hopefully, it fills a niche occupied by an old Paasche V that I sometimes use for detail work. It's a side cup so it is a magnitude more of a hassle to make color changes. I'm thinking the Sotar, being a small gravity cup, is more convenient in that regard.

I sent it out but got no replies from them.... :bored: Perhaps I was too late for the offer?

If you sent the email on Jan 4, you should get a reply.

I took advantage of this deal last year and this year. One think about these offers is you need patience. It took them a long time to get it all done last year and based on their FB posts, this year's did not start off well either. Last I heard is they got over 6,000 emails on the offer.

Also do your homework. Amazon and other retailers sell the popular Patriot for almost the same price as the deal from badger. Others are even the same price with free shipping. In this deal all you get is the Air Brush nothing else, no extras at all.

I'm good with waiting since I have three functional airbrushes already. Just a new toy at a decent price that I'm in no hurry to get. And the fact that you get nothing except the airbrush does reduce the deal from great to good, IMO.

:that:

I have several knock offs that I am passing along to my son, who's is into making spray art and replacing am replacing them with Badger's. I am pretty sure I will not be participating in this deal next year.

Indeed, patience is the word.
I really keep the expectations low and I don't believe I will see my Krome before April...

Got a reminder email to put in my airbrush order offer. Debating between the Krome, Patriot, or the Sotar. I’m almost leaning towards the Krome airbrush. I can’t decide... :bored:

After reading Don's Airbrush site, I decided to get the 105 Patriot airbrush. I figure it's easy to use and can do most everything.
