Interesting about your situation with the plastic and the glue on this project. You might want to think about some of the “hotter” plastic cements like Pro Weld or Plastiweld. Tenax was a great product for these situations, but I think that has been discontinued. I had to use that stuff on an early Trumpeter T-54 build years ago, as their plastic on that kit was impervious to everything else...
But aside from conversion kits, that was the ONLY way to get a T-54 in 1/35 back then.
