Yup, we all have our own preferences..

I would say, in the end of the day it's all about the Mojo... A difficult, impossible, badly engineerd, odd / regular subject, perfect kit, perfect fit can all become totally useless if the Mojo for the particular build just goes away... Even so dramatically, that it does not even land as a shelf queen, but really gets thrown out of the house.

My "biggest" scrapped projects...
- Hobby Boss 1:48 Vought Corsair II, I just for some reason hated it.. nothing went well with my build or paintwork, so it was thrown in the bin... however not in million of pieces, just nicely dropped in the bin...
- Eduards 1:48 109 E-3, w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l kit, but had huge issues getting some details in place.. resulting in the bin... in many pieces...
- Eduards first 109 G-6, you remember, the one being slightly wrong scale... That went also, not because of Eduards miss, but the cockpit work was a fiasco (and I was upset) ...
- and then a bunch of more or less good kits....

Never nice of course, but I want to enjoy the build, is it then challenging or not is another story, but I need to like what I do!

Kari, you nailed it. This should be printed, framed and hung over every single work bench.

You're not alone and don't feel bad. I binned a Dragon Sherman tank kit with rockets last year. I didn't enjoy that kit at all. It was testing my patience and I just couldn't take it anymore. Another kit I binned and destroyed was the Revell Mig-21. I was fed up with that kit as well.

Shucks, glue it up and:

1. use it for a paint mule
2. filling test bed
3. target with a bb gun (used to do this all the time)
4. try new stuff on it.

I would have used it as a paint mule. I have a Revell F-14 Tomcat that I could never get right that I use. It's got all kinds of paint on it.
