Beautiful work! America’s first jet and almost completely unknown outside of early jet enthusiasts. It’s performance was outclassed by the hottest piston engine aircraft, but it was the shape of things to come.

Very nice! My sister took us to a friend of hers who’s husband was stationed at Pax River NAS. Although not my first time there. My uncle worked on that base for years until his retirement back in the early 2000 or late 1990s. It was then I fell in love with the P-3 Orions.
The last trip there we got to get aboard a Sea King Helicopter. I inquired her friend’s husband what are the chances of this taking us.... well up? Nope was his answer. Oh well, at least I tried.

Much more attractive than the O.D. over Neutral Gray paint scheme that it flew in for flight test at Muroc (the old name of Edwards)
