Thanks, Ken. I was thinking more how to attach the wires but I will go to the music store on my way to the gym to price strings. My thought was to put two holes in the top horizontal span of each strut then CA copper wire (I have some quite smallish wire which may work), then drop the wire to reach the brake drum which is part of the wheel. Thoughts?

That's how I do mine drill a shallow hole with a micro bit CA a copper wire in place longer than needed wrap and bend it around the strut as needed then trim and attach brake drum. Them Struts and wheels look great together.

Copper wire has an advantage- it’ll stay bent. You plan sounds solid, and if you’ve got the copper wire, I’d say go with that (but don’t rule-out uke string for other wiring-up needs).

I never thought about using that I bet it would be great for wiring instrument panels or for plug wires.

Thanks so much, Clint. Looks like there are two tie down points—one at the wishbone yoke and one closer to the brake hub—any thoughts on making these? More wire?

Thanks so much, Ken! The nights grow dark so fast... I skipped the guitar store for the local wireless store to get new cables for the iPhone. Maybe the old ones will make good wiring connectors.

I would try to make them out of Pepsi can aluminum or look into PE hose clamps for model cars that option will be more expensive

Thanks for the ideas, Clint. I am not spending any more right now. I may try to sculpt a small clip with Milliput or thick glue if I have anything.

Cleaning the etch : once before building, once before painting. Lens cleaner works well.



Maybe those lil’ pieces which I think are for gun magazines and may be redundant will make ties for the brake lines.

That's a good amount of PE I think them pieces would be perfect for the clamps you need.

I agree with you, Clint—and there are five extra handles (used for the MG-15 clips) because there were fewer double-drum magazines carried on the Z-2 then the Z-3 version, so I think we are good to go.
