I was thinking of using the second set of decals on bodyshell 2 (the reproduction Russkit shell).

Jo Siffert was a Swiss racing driver, who started 96 Formula One Grand Prix races between 1962 and 1971, winning two times and scoring six podiums. He was also successful in the sports car racing, taking the victories with Porsche in some famous races, such were 24h Daytona, 12h Sebring or Targa Florio. Siffert was killed in an accident at non-championship F1 race at Brands Hatch in October 1971.

Yes. I am studying the “inside-out” technique. My Dad used to do this by hand, but here is a step by step series created by a modern airbrush master:

You know.....you're right!! I forgot about that and I've even used that technique on my VW Bus. It was a clear green body with metal flakes in it and I painted the inside gold.

Joe! That may just be the most beautiful paint job I have seen to date! Certainly that is a beautiful model! Yep, you definitely aced the classic look there!

I've been wondering about you and these slot cars. Are you into slot car racing? Or did you just pick them up as cheap car kits/nostalgia?

Stuart, My best memories of my Dad are of setting up the slot cars on the track. So, in a way this is how I honor the good times and not the bad ones. I saw this series of photos taken long ago but this one stood out of the two kids with their car builder Dad. That’s how I remember things!
