Alright! Here’s Step 1 and the subassemblies:
This wasn’t bad. There wasn’t anything one could shoot his or herself in the foot with, here.
The end result:
That took about an hour. It wasn’t too bad. The plastic is very nice and easy to clean in terms of sanding down the little nubs leftover from clipping them free of the sprue. Also, Dragon seems to like to keep the ejector pins away from the parts as much as they can, and remnants of that are leftover on the parts. That’s no problem for me though, it doesn’t bother me. I’d rather clip that stuff than sand/fill ejector pin marks.
That said, I’m still looking for them just in case.
Also, the level of detail on these parts is quite good:
These wheels will also be painted straight away, as I know how I get once the main tank painting and weathering begins. This time the wheels will already be finished. Getting the boring stuff out of the way ahead of time.
Oh and here’s the reference. I won’t be adding the tarp or sandbags though.
