Great engine photos here!

Black cylinder heads inverted - grey engine block?

That is factory grey and quite blue-grey. Quite striking!

Thanks for the link Bruce I've decided to go with RLM02 for the block. I've had a headache most of the day and been watching my nieces who are teenagers so pretty much take care of themselves. So today has been reading a new Bf109 book I got and watching anime that I got them into. I'm going to start working on the block again here in a hour or so and post some photos.

Sorry to hear about your headache—that makes living and doing and being a challenge. Sounds like you have or had a full house tonight... not s bad way to spend babysitting time with a good anime, though. Which one? Good luck with your Argus 10. Looking forward to photos!!

Right now watching my all time favorite full metal alchemist brotherhood, also realized that I left by bag at work with the exhaust, sprue cutters, pin vice and bits, and exacto knife. So all the tools I need aren't here so I can't effectively work on anything tonight. O well guess I'll pick the guitar back up tonight instead.

What a great series! I was wondering—Have you ever read any thing by this fella? He’s a Korean War veteran and engineer and science fiction writer:

His writing is some of the finest writing that I have ever read. The subject of body transmutation is a major part of the series.

Haven't had that much time to work on this I've been wore out after work and been sleeping a lot. I did take the exhaust to work with me and got them opened up they look great but forgot to take a photo of them, I'll get to that later. Did some work on the engine this morning after work, I added the conduit that the plug wires run in on both sides of the block using .030 round stock and also added the plug wires themselves using very small gauge speaker wrap wire not sure of the size.

Right now I'm looking for good photos of the rear of the engine, I can find a lot of the front and sides but no clear photos of the rear. I do have one good one that Bruce posted on the last page. I need to figure out next the wiring on the backside and also and wiring from the block to firewall and any that may pass through the firewall. Also while I remember Kari the kit comes with the drop tank it looks just like the one in the photos you posted.
Thanks for looking in!

Damn IT!!! I have totally missed out here!!! I love these aircraft to pieces and can't believe I don't have one of these in my stash. I'm locked in on this thread.

Nice lil' Argus V-8 you've got there BTW.
