Sherman’s usually build up pretty quickly. On Dragon Sherman kits, the the speed bump is usually those damned tracks. It is what it is.

Hey Kenny! I found this at HobbyWorld USA. It would make an awesome cool addition even though it's not Star Wars material ….

I sat down to begin on the tracks on Monday, and promptly realized that I need to change up my plan. Here’s the deal-

It will be optimal for these tracks to be built whilst the bogies and wheels are on the model. There’s not riposted to be any slack in these tracks, and you literally have to “build them up and around” the drive and idler wheels. The issue is, I need to paint at least the lower hull, and bogie X wheel assemblies before I attach them. And there needs to be some fills and sanding under there before I set about doing that... and My Milliput still hasn’t arrived.

I attached some more fiddle bits to the Forefly’s hull, but aside from that, there ain’t much I can do.

So I built up a STUG III.

Here’s a side-by-side comparison:

Image

It has a rudimentary interior, which includes a nice-looking gun. You remove the upper part of the hull like a lid to see in there. It also comes with a figure, and you can stand him up on a seat in there and make it like he’s looking out of the hatch. I’m not messing with any of that stuff though. This thibg looks way more menacing when it’s buttoned up. So that’s what I’m going to do. Just leave it buttoned up.

That’s pretty much it for this week modeling-wise on account of I’ll be busy with work the rest of the day and tomorrow, getting ready for my trip back East for the weekend (leaving Friday morning, coming home Sunday).

Thanks brother!

We’ll be staying downtown, close by all my favorite restaurants. Mrs. Kenny X has the whole thing planned out and she ain’t divulging anything else. Just two days full of surprises LOL.

Also- I’ve changed my mind. Screw it. I’m gonna paint the interior and the figure for the STUG.

I made some time to do the STUG’s interior. And even though it won’t be too visible even with the open hatches, I’m happy that I did, that’ll look neat in there.

Brilliant work Kenny! I love it! That interior does look better now that it's painted; you did excellent work on that.

Love the first pic with the Sherman teasing the StuG! :giggles:
