Again you are welcome. That first book you got I got that one used at a model show it was missing the decals but still a great book.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Bruce, you have greater intestinal fortitude that I by building this kit (being limited run) However, I feel that you will do this justice. I do enjoy a 190 build. How far do you plan to go in detailing this plane?

Paul, Thanks so much for your thoughts, because what you wrote ties into a theme for this build—to try to build out of the box. However, I do want to add any visible brake lines. I also think the wing weapons will be better suited as brass. Ditto the antennas. So, I already strayed off target. Also each time John Kim builds a Revi gunsight I get excited to build one in the same fashion. Maybe my theme is slipping even farther away from me, lol.

Project Details So Far - 1/31/19
  • 1. Rivets, rivets, rivets on exterior surfaces.
    2. Hub and Propeller - EagleCal or Henri Dehane.
    3. National Insignia masks.
    4. Accurate camouflage.
    5. Cabling, wiring and brake lines.
    6. Revi gunsight a la Maestro Kim.
    7. Most important—finish it.
I know you could build this kit, too, Paul. Who needs locating pins... I cut these off anyway most of the time.

It looks like the moldings are accurate to the shape. I'm interested in about the gun sight you mentioned.

Looks a lot like the Revi C type of gunsight to me. Squared off glass. My guess is this should be the Revi 16B gunsight for the A-1 Series.

Unfortunately the original b/w photo crops at the padded bar, but the written description definitely states that is the 16B. Any ideas which is correct? B or C?

Thanks, Gary. I know what you mean—I live in a small apartment, which means I have to keep only a few new, unbuilt kits as well as completed models.
