I would test fit the fuselage, wings, engine and gun cowlings, rear deck, windscreen and canopy without the cockpit first. That will give you an indication of overall fit. Then do a dry-fit with the cockpit in place to see what adjustments need to be made to accommodate the cockpit parts. Does the cockpit have adequate contact area with the fuselage to secure it in place? If not, you can replace those eraser pieces with Milliput to help secure the cockpit in place.
Regarding the wheel well inserts, it might be easier to resolve the cockpit fit first instead of trying to fit all of the resin in one go.

Copy that, John! Wilco! I will test fit the exterior parts first. There is a piece underneath the cowling which will merit a bit of caution, perhaps.

Bruce! So exciting and cool to see you "tackling" a 1/32 Fw-190 !
The kit gets very good reviews. Indeed, watching pictures of the sprues and the resin parts, can just say "Nice" with a big N !

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Thanks so much, Kari. I sincerely appreciate your link to the airfield and all you bring to following along with this project. The same goes with John, Carlos, Joe, Torben, Clint, Stuart, Handiabled, Medic, BlackSheep Tom, Lyle, Duke and others here (Why didn’t I just write others in the first place?). You all are a real good bunch of folks. I just woke from a dream of a movie wherein Clint Eastwood was playing a fella fighting the county from building a road through his property. The kicker was the lawsuit was going on for years. The lawyer on the opposing side was coming to realize he was closer to Eastwood than his own father. The story was just reaching the midpoint with a local BBQ in town and these two men were keeping their distance until it was announced over the CB that a fire was burning on a neighboring farm. Somehow I guess this is just how a story will throw people together the two of them ending up in the lawyer’s Jeep Cherokee hurtling towards the fire. Clint (which is how the brain works here anyone reading any more?) well like with my dream, Clint tells the guy “You oughta slow down,” and I realized I am that guy who wants to hurtle his way through the build, but in reality my usual slow pace is just right. Fit the parts. Take your time. Never rush. Savor the moment. It’s a hobby. Funny how the brain works.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
I use that piece of sprue between the fuselage halves on all of my Eduard 190 builds to fill that gap as well. Works like a charm.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
And last night I was dreaming about rats in the air ducts of my home that were trying to take my bedding (dammit rodent, I’m trying to sleep here!)... rats of all things.... and my only available weapon was metal hibachi skewers... really?
Yes it was taco Tuesday for dinner before bed....

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
