I've gotten up close and personal with this bird's older relative the P38J, you are doing a wonderful job on this build!

Thanks for the kind words!

Got the superchargers on and weathered with pastels. I noticed that I missed some seams on the bottom. If I ever build this kit again I'll have to remember to tackle those better.

I've truly been missing out. Great progress so far with this kit. It's nice to see a good Lightning kit. I've seen folks build that Monogram/ Revell disaster and I really feel for 'em. Weathering looks good.

Great work on this build. The old revell kit was nightmare along with the Black Widow. I have the Great Wall hobby Black Widow it has great reviews and they build up so well, hopefully they decide to make a lighting ad well.

Looking very good!

And to be honest, I cannot find, at least in the picture, where those missed seams are! :hmm:

You have that pretty much nailed down. It is an attractive model.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I'm calling this one done. She's not perfect, but good enough for me. It might be awhile before I tackle another P-38, they're pretty tough to build. Any comments/criticisms are welcome. To recap she's in the markings of the 8th Photo Recon Squadron, based in the Philippines in 1945. Thanks for following along! I'll just post one image here and the rest in the finished thread.

It looks great always enjoy seeing a finished lighting mostly because of all the hard work the builder has to go through to get it looking nice.
