1:48 Curtiss-Wright CW-21B Demon

Post by Cherrylock »

The Kit is from Sierra Scale Models, vacu model with some white metal parts (engine, prop, landing gear) and good decals. Vacu is not my prefered variant of building models, but this fighter was very cool-

and the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force

so here is the final model

Never have built a vacuform kit before or seen one in person actually, but I know they can be a real challenge. Your finished model came out looking great.

Well done! Another wizard on board.....Vac-u-form scares me to death. Won't touch it.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

A vacuform kit! Oh my! :wow:

And beautifully done I will say... :hmm:

A beautiful build CL!!

It was a challenge I've dealt with a vacu-form canopy on the SU-6 AM-42 kit. Don't get me wrong, I managed to do the best I could but never again I want to deal with anything vacu-form.

That’s lovely work! I especially like the finish. The camouflage is very well-done and I like the subtle fade you out into the paint. Very, very nicely-done!
