Post by Cherrylock »

this is the inital kit from Aurora 1969, build OOB.

the AH-56 was a dive figher helicopter , a unique idea with not the results the army and airforce liked, the army to to the Apache helicopter, the airforce buyed the A-10

Watched a show on the A-10. At the time the USAF was in full nuclear mode and ignoring the ground support needs. The Army stepped in with this guy. Woke up the Air Force pretty quickly and thus the A10 was developed. Or so they said.

Very nice build. First one I think I've seen.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

The AH-56 was a beautiful chopper! Much better looking than the Cobra or Apache. But like the MBT-70, too ambitious for the technology of the time. They used to have one at the Ft Polk museum when I was stationed there. Nice work on this OLD kit CL. Too bad that somebody does not do a new tool 1/48 kit of this machine.

Yeah, that is beautiful. I always wanted one of these in 1/72 scale.

Great copter, great kit. Really an overlooked model by the model manufacturers. But you did good with this old kit.

Now that’s one cool looking bird! Seems like a great subject for a 1/48 new tool kit.
