The cockpit looks great, especially with the addition of the placards!

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
John—Welcome back! I am grateful for your comment. I do not feel particularly good at getting a consistent approach with an airbrush yet. I used a 3:2 mix of enamel to paint at 20 psi per manufacturer’s specifications. Personally I would like to get “looser” about using this tool. That will take more practice. Meanwhile, I am gonna move forward with what I have done and keep building!

The paint looks fine Bruce! A little bit of grain but a flat coat should cut that right down. What are you using to attach the PE placards to the painted cockpit?

Thomas mentioned this specifically for gluing PE cockpit detail parts. I believe he used this on his really beautiful Junkers cockpit. If I find his reply, I will add the link here.

I’ve got the Thin Blend but have never gotten any good results with it. Maybe I got a bad batch.

I am using his original blend. So far, so good. I did gently scrape away the paint where I could too, which was good advice from you. Sincerely—thank you!

Base coat looks good to me. As John said, it should all level out with a flat coat.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
I would just add a vertical element to the hardware that's molded onto the cockpit floor. Not worth the effort of cutting the molded detail off the floor just to raise it a couple of millimeters.
