Clint—Great job on the table and map!! That is gonna be a great diorama element! I look forward to your work on the figures! I am trying to remember some of the better 1/48 figure makers. With the diverse selection of 1/48 subjects, I thought figures would be available. I remember buying some unrecognizable lumps of 1/72 pilots from eBay and trying to resculpt those poor fellas with Milliput...

Thank you for taking the time Bruce I've looked through scalemates a few times hoping to find something new. I have the old Preiser set they show their age but still usable. I've looked at Gaso.line before too their website is a bit hard to navigate but some interesting stuff.
I've been looking for that Verlinden set. For me their sets are hit and miss some look really good others have that look to them.
Andrea has a few good figures so does ZM. Dragon also has a nice set. German ground crew in 1/48 is probably the hardest to come by.

That's the price I've been seeing them at. If they was a really nice resin set then yeah $10 a figure wouldn't be bad but I can't see paying that much for verlinden. I've paid big on 1/35th alpine figures before but they are definitely worth it.

Look around for different sources. Their prices skyrocketed since they stopped producing. But here and there you can find some for far more reasonable pricing.Floki wrote:That's the price I've been seeing them at. I've been looking around in different sources as well in hopes of finding one cheaper. No dice. Looks like eBay is your best choice.

Well I'm calling it, just need to get some plexi to make the dust cover print out a nameplate and place it on the shelf. The figures are good for 1/48th scale not like the aerobonus ones I did for my Bf110 but not complete blobs of plastic either. I really love painting 1/35th figures but these I just couldn't get to look completely right because of the small size. The camo net isn't tacked down think I might remove it. First a photo of my wet pallet

Got a few places to touch up on the base then after I get the dust cover made this will be done. This is probably the first kit that I didn't enjoy building start to finish and I know it shows.
Thanks for looking in.

Clint—Your work is amazing! Please take a step back or step away and then come back to it. I don't see any signs of difficulties at all! None! The way you used the different figures by Tamiya is fantastic. The figure painting is incredible as well. Sincerely. This project honors its subject and its kit in all of the proper ways. My only note would be perhaps a little bit of dust on the aircraft. The netting really works to create an area that makes sense in terms of a diorama element. I feel though I have to ask... what do you think is not working? I think I am a pretty sharp observer and I do not see anything amiss. I see small tweaks but even those are extremely small.

Your work has the feel of the period down! Note I edited the size of your photos to full resolution. I will show you how. Basically you need to change "img" which is in brackets at the front and back of each image link to... "image." Also your uploader is adding additional information that has to be removed after uploading. This is very easy to delete.

The first part that begins with bracket followed by "url=" and ending with another bracket needs to be removed. Then at the end there is another bracket followed by "url" and ending with another bracket that needs to be removed.
So. . .
[url=a link to the hosting site which must be removed] [img which should be "image"] [https the picture link itself which must be kept.jpg] [img which should be "image"] and [url which must be removed]
