Lockheed F-117A, Revell oG, 1:72

Post by Bolleken »

Yesterday night I finished Revell's Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk. It was really challenging to give it the color effects I hoped to see. What do you think?

as was said, great model showing weathering on the F-117. The pics are terrific, too!

Very nice, black is a hard color to paint and weather.

Great work on the finished photos! I really love the “night vision” on a mission shots!

I think this is a brilliant project with a highly effective painting and weathering approach. I think you you realized the full potential of the kit. The photos you took against the black background are particularly effective since “painting blacks” is the major theme of the project itself. I know you are always enjoying the matchbox “scratch-box” building challenges but there is something special here with Revell of Germany’s excellent tooling. The kit does not reveal its scale. This reminds me that I was looking earlier at Revell USA’s old Delta Dagger. Have you built this?

That one is much better then the old Revell F-117 kit that I had (boms where not besides each other , flat underside etc). What kit number is it?
