I know what you mean about the figures—sometimes they appear to be melting—especially when it comes to features. I'm glad the seat is a hit. I really appreciate the way you are giving the kit a lot of great support through the afermarket—EagleCals and HGW are certainly not ones to be trifled with! So, what happens next?

Next up will be comparing kit parts to resin, figure out what I'm going to use, then removing the main body parts from the tree to dry fit and see how they play with the resin.

The most tedious part is getting the belt through the double loops. And then threading a second piece through those same loops. It’s like you need to operate three tweezers! If the resin seat were accurate, that would probably be my preference. Resin seats cast with belts look really good with careful painting.

The white metal seat in the kit is fantastic, the verlinden is horrible, same with the Dragon, I got a couple of ultracast seats with molded in belts they are nice but this metal seat beats them all. I'll take some comparison shots tomorrow of all four.

Glad to have another following along here Torben. I took some photos comparing all the seats also the cockpit tubs. I didn't get them uploaded before work since my wife was on the computer. I'll do it in the morning when I get home. The resin cockpit is more accurate, it has nice raised detail where the kit is flat with the added PE. If was doing canopy closed then the nicely detailed PE would look great under the glass. The kit control stick is more detailed and also not broke like the resin so I will be using it. I forgot to bring the cockpit and seat to work with me, I was going to take a low speed die grinder and tootsie roll to the poreplug and the seat has just the tiniest nub to take off.

Most of those seats have a cushion molded in the seat pan of the bucket seat. But most pilots flew with a seat pack parachute, which negates the need for a cushion. And also raises a pilot up where he would have to be hunched down under the canopy if he had a seat pack parachute and a seat cushion. If using a backpack parachute, that small shelf in the seat pan rear supports the backpack chute, and then a seat cushion is a good idea....
