Re: Trimaster FW190A8
The prep work is shaping up nicely. I’m also quite happy to hear that your 109K arrived safely. Enjoy!

Yes! Lookin’ good. I came home early tonight and thought I would be able to do a bunch of wing fitting and checks. I had some problems so I have backed off for now. I like the addition of wire for the control stick as a support very much. I will have to try that out.

Thanks Carlos and Bruce.
I like pinning unlike material like this gives more area to glue to.
Sorry to hear you've hit a snag Bruce, hope you will have a solution by tomorrow.

I believe these are the kits that are later Eduard releases right? In any case you've got my attention with a 190 bro.

Everything is good! I am going to finish the seat belts, pedals and placards first and let my brain cogitate a bit. How are you doing?Floki wrote:Thanks Carlos and Bruce.

Good to hear you have a plan of attack Bruce. I've added the control box on top of the fuel tank cover and sprayed all the top surfaces with Tamiya German grey, also painted the side walls, control stick and seat. Tomorrow some time I will brush paint Vallejo onto the sidewalls and thinly over the top surfaces, then detail paint the switches. I'm not a fan of the RLM66 cockpits since it doesn't really allow me to paint the way I like with a black base first, since the color is so dark. Over the weekend I started hacking away to be able to fit the resin gun bay in front of the cockpit. Going to take a lot of milliput to fill gaps there. Also today I closed the sides up, it lines up great and just have a few pin holes that are going to need putty. I got into a building grove and kinda forgot to take any photos sorry Bruce.

Re: Trimaster FW190A8
Still have some paint touch ups to do.

I opened up the HGW belts I'm not ready for these things, I've decided to put them back for a build maybe around Christmas when I have some time off work, they are just way to much for me to deal with right now.
So I'm using the kit PE belts

Got them on and base coated
Thats all for now thanks for looking in

Re: Trimaster FW190A8
Cockpit looks good Clint although the photos are on the dark side.
Based on my work with the 1/32 HGW belts, I can only imagine how much more difficult they would be to assemble in 1/48. I think I would personally go with the PE myself.

Re: Trimaster FW190A8
Thanks John, I'm sure having these belts built up and installed on a build will look 100x than PE but I don't have it in me right now to struggle with them. As for the photos I have one source of light on my bench, but can't seem to get it set just right, I'm either getting to much shadow from the object being shot or the camera itself is casting to much of a shadow on to the piece.
