Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Looks great Bruce! Like the bit of sheen on the leather seat pad and the belts look wonderfully used. Front fascia on the instrument panel not yet in place, I assume?

Man, you are killing it, too! Nice work.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Thank you—all of you. It means an infinite amount that you are here, following and encouraging me. I also want to thank each of you individually for being a source of inspiration and ideas.
Thank you, Joe.
Thank you, Kari.
Thank you, John.*
Thank you, Lyle.
Thank you, Ken.
Thank you, Carlos.
You are all aces!
* Yes. Those top two are the secondary black photo-etch IPs by Eduard that I need to shape slightly as they are too large. No complaints, though.

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
YBG Questions

Yellow: Any thoughts on how to get the smidge of yellow on the end of the throttle lever? Is there a good Testors yellow enamel, perhaps?
Blue: What color are the foot pedals? I was thinking these are bare metal with leather straps, but I do not know for sure.
Green: Is the throttle damper bare metal, too?

Re: Pacific Coast Models 1/32 Fw 190A-1. Black 13. Belgium,
Y: yes Testors does some nice yellow enamels. A good idea might be to undercoat with white first to give a vibrant yellow color. Yellow is usually such a pain of a color to do, acrylic or enamel, in every brand that I’ve ever tried. Best way to apply to such a small area? A very small pointy brush size 0 or smaller, or a wooden toothpick.
B: looking at my Squadron 190 walk around book, the foot pedals are RLM 66 when new, with either fabric or leather straps in a medium khaki brown color. It’s had to determine the material in the photos. And of course wear from flight boots will remove paint on the pedal contact surfaces. As in the photo that you posted.
G: yes, again referring to my Squadron 190 WA book, the throttle damper is a dark bare metal, sort of medium in tone
