Hah, Magic elixirs? I just wonder why the photographer didn’t fill the thermos before taking the shot, but I do like the ZCG panel - well spotted. I think though it’s the difference between ZCG in daylight balance versus ZCG in interior conditions. Although it was a mix! I like seeing the details on the Props even though these do not relate specifically to your project.

I think it is an A-26, but I am not sure! The photos were originally taken by Alfred T. Palmer who worked for the Office of War Information (responsible for promoting patriotism, war news, etc.). He traveled to many different plants including the Douglas Aircraft Company, Long Beach, California. I don’t want to flood your thread with photos, instead I wil keep looking for factory floor shots for you. Although this is not necessarily useful, here is a shot of a woman machining parts! It’s cool seeing the dirt and nail polish together!

No magnetos on the top the crankcase here. Im pretty sure that this is a R-2600 engine. That coupled with the cowl flaps and colors says to me B-25.

John the prop looks great sitting in primer the hub details really begin to stand out.
Also props to Bruce (pun diffidently intended ) for always being able to dig up great photos.

What I noticed is the guy with his back to the camera. The back of his shirt says Vought-Sikorski. As in the helicopter company?
